You Will Enjoy God’s Praise
Children have an enormous appetite for words of approval. Saintly parents know that one of their main jobs is to praise and build up their children and do it over and over. Maybe you know people who even as grown-ups don’t feel that they have their parents’ approval and have to scrape and struggle and beg for scraps of praise.
Get this—God recognizes and celebrates the things his partners on earth do to draw lost sinners to their loving Savior. If there is joy among the angels over one sinner who repents, how do you think the Father feels to get a child back?
When you use your gifts and opportunities in life to wake people up and make Jesus look good, God takes notes. And although this is not the main reason for sharing our faith, it’s kind of exciting to know that our labors won’t go unnoticed. “Those who are wise will shine like the brightness of the heavens, and those who lead many to righteousness, like the stars for ever and ever” (Daniel 12:3).
